Netherlands designs and manufactures small gas turbines for the propulsion
of radio-controlled flying aircraft, experimental aircraft development,
and in the military target and surveillance drone field. Our turbines are
also used in many kinds of research and education projects at universities
all over the world.
Advanced Micro
Turbines originated in the Netherlands in 1991, and we have been manufacturing
turbines commercially since 1994. Managed by Bennie van de Goor, the founder
of the company, and the pilot of the world famous 'Dutch Pulse-Jet' team,
AMT
Netherlands has more than 20 years experience in the development and
flight demonstration of high performance and jet powered aircraft. Based
in Helmond, near Eindhoven, the company has been growing steadily over
the last 12 years to cater for the increased demand for our products in
all markets, and will shortly be relocating to larger premises to accommodate
extra staff and newly acquired equipment.

Mercury HP (airstart) |
The Pegasus motor was first produced commercially in 1994, and its legendary reliability and performance have quickly become a benchmark in the industry. Our Olympus and Mercury HP turbines are further developments of the Pegasus design, and utilise the same proven concepts and engineering principles. The Olympus was released in 1995 for special applications, large models and experienced operators, and offers a 70% thrust increase over the Pegasus with only slightly larger dimensions. The latest addition to our range, the Olympus HP, was redesigned from our origional AMT Netherlands design Olympus engine with more than 20 % thrust than our origional design. |

All
motors are based on our own AMT Netherlands revolutionary design
and unique axial flow turbine, giving exceptional thrust-to-weight ratios,
with low fuel consumption and rapid acceleration times. Running on liquid
fuel (Jet A1, kerosene or paraffin) they need no separate lubrication system
- just one of the many innovative concepts that we developed, which are
now becoming the industry standards. Our present range of 3 turbines, with
thrusts from 90 - 230 Newtons, will shortly be joined by a larger motor
that we are developing specifically for some of our military customers.
This turbine will be in production later this year.
AMT Netherlands is totally committed to the continual development of the efficiency and safety of the miniature gas turbine motors, and associated equipment, that we supply. Quality control is strictly maintained, and every turbine is assembled by skilled engineers and rigorously tested before despatch to ensure that it meets precise performance and safety parameters. Prospective and existing Customers are welcome to visit our offices by prior arrangement. Furthermore, to prevent any confusion, we would like to make it completely clear that AMT Netherlands has no connection at all with another company with a similar name in the USA that sells copies of our original turbine designs.
